Bluegrass Grass Hay

Harvest Date - August 2021

The beautiful hay we carry called "bluegrass" is actually a hybrid seed my farmer has developed. It is an orchard/bluegrass seed. For those of you that are used to orchard grass, this will be similar except it has a beautiful blue/green color. After viewing more that 30 farms and countless hays, it just didn't do justice to call my hay "orchard", so I have chosen to call it "bluegrass". It is a wide bladed, leafy variety that is soft and pliable. Nutritionally, it is equivalent to orchard grass.

Our Rescue Pigs Love the Bluegrass Hay!!

Our guinea pigs in our rescue have always favored bluegrass hay over anything else so any time we can we try to keep them happy!!

The reason I give it five stars is it looks and smells great, but I'm not the one who eats it, but my two piggies weren't impressed, I have 8 different kinds of hay and there's only one they like (orchard hay). KMS has very good hay, I just have picky piggies!

Guinea pigs love it!

The bluegrass is great; my guinea pigs love it, and it's much less dusty than the pet store hay.

Guinea Pigs’ Favorite Hay

My piggies are very picky eaters and will not eat most brands. I had a disabled rescued little boy who I had to syringe feed 100% because he would not eat any hay until I ordered from KMS Hayloft. I was amazed that he actually started eating hay on his own when I first offered the Bluegrass hay and then the 1st cut Timothy and 2nd cut Timothy, although his absolute favorite is the Bluegrass hay. Now all my piggies are spoiled daily with these high quality hays. I cut the hay in smaller pieces for them but they eat every bit. I am so glad I discovered KMS Hayloft!!
